You should search for opportunities in DC, but you can also search for listings in Maryland (MD) and Virginia (VA). These are big states so should look only in the following cities - which are accessible via metro:
- Maryland (MD) - Bethesda or Silver Springs
- Virginia (VA) - Arlington or Alexandria
www.craigslist.com - click on the link for Washington, DC. Once there, go to the jobs section and type in "internship" in the search engine.
